April 21, 2010 - Remorse

Hey guys,

I don't know if you've been following my blog, but you might notice that I haven't updated in almost a week. Sorry! First, I was busy and then I got sick. I still am sick, but I'm feeling better. Except for the part where I have no voice. I literally whisper everything I say. Sucks, but such is life. I just managed to write this entry since I'm sitting in class being bored to death. Oh, the joys of philosophy.

April 13, 2010 - Breakfast & Routine

Ok, so I got back to my wonderful schedule of working out in the mornings, but due to my ankle and toe bothering me last night, I've decided to sit out the treadmill for a while. Here's this morning's routine:

Weekly Weigh-in: # 2

Week 1: 183.8 lb.
Week 2: 178.4 lb
Total Weight Loss to Date: 5.4 lb

Yay!!!! I'm counting last week as the first week, although overall I've lost almost 20 pounds!!! That is freaking amazing!!! I can't wait until the scale tells me I'm under 170 lb. By the way, I weigh myself with my sneakers on, so I do actually weigh less than what I'm telling you, I'm just too lazy to take off my shoes. Hope anyone else out there working hard is seeing results!

April 12, 2010 - Breakfast

Since I have to finish up some homework this morning, the weigh-in will be postponed to tomorrow morning. I'm excited to see how much weight I've lost since last week. I've been pretty good at keeping away from sugar, but I have been craving a milkshake from Carl's Jr. And since I really don't think I'm going to make it to breakfast, here's what I've eaten so far:

Yesterday was a long day! I was up at 7 and I didn't go to sleep until after 10. So Festival of Nations came and it was fun, even though I didn't really get to experience a lot of things since I was dancing and then I couldn't eat half of the food since I've given up sugary foods. So, today is my 5th day of not eating sweets. It's getting better!!! I almost forgot today for a while. Not eating sugar has increased my sense of taste. It's amazing.

2 Big Franks (veggie hot dogs)

plate of cooked mixed vegetables ( cauliflower, broccoli, carrot...)

Ok, since I have to actually write this out, I'll be short, sweet, and to the point.

Routine
30 minutes treadmill
30 minutes stairmaster (I used a different one this time)
30 minutes treadmill (I wasn't really feeling the bike)

Breakfast
1/2 grapefruit
25 chunks of pineapple
2 slices of dark sweet wheat toast
1 cup of cranberry apple tea

So it's a really busy weekend with Festival of Nations coming up this Sunday. I've had practice every day for the past 2 weeks and I can't wait until we perform! Sorry I didn't get around to posting yesterday, but it was a busy day. I didn't workout yesterday since I woke up late and then I had to get to class and practice, but I'm ok with that. Doing 90 minutes of cardio lets me be ok with that.

Good morning!!! I'm up and ready to workout this morning even though I'm plenty sore from workout Sunday and dance practice. Since I have a performance this Sunday, I'll have to make this a strictly cardio week. I'm way too sore already. I've already eaten my one(1) granola bar for the morning, so as soon as I get dressed, I'll be off to the gym.

Weekly Weigh-in: # 1

Yay! Yay! Yay!!!
Just had to let you guys know that I weighed myself this morning, and despite the fact that I hadn't taken a crap yet, and I had already drunk quite a bit of water, I weighed in at 183.8 pounds!!! For those of you who aren't having regular bowel movements, that could be throwing your weight off quite a bit! Eat your fiber!!

Ok, this has got to be quick since I have class in 45 minutes and I haven't showered yet. I managed to fit in a full 90 minutes of cardio this morning. Yay!

So I'm getting ready to go to the gym at 6 am and I'm eating one granola bar from a Nature Valley package. Yum!! And it provides me with protein and fiber too!!! Exercises will be posted later, but today will be solely cardio.

The Start

I've been working out faithfully for about 10 weeks now, but I haven't really been moderating my diet. That's why I created this blog! I want to tell you about what I'm doing and what's working for me. So I'll be updating hopefully 3 times a day, and letting you know exactly what exercises I'm doing and what I'm eating. I'll also have a weekly weigh-in to tell you what I weigh and how it differed from the week before. Weigh-ins will be on Mondays and I will only be weighing myself once a week.
